A story from Resa Setefani
Resa Setefani, an English literature student at IPB CIREBON, has won the title of national best writer. She is someone who loves writing. Reported from radarcirebon.com, her short story ‘Broke Up Then Grow Up’ was successfully included in the anthology “Fokus Ke Perjalanan Hidupmu Sendiri”. The anthology was published by Al Mannaf Media Pustaka Publisher.
The book publisher initiated the anthology as a co-writing project. The project attracted hundreds of potential writers to create works in the form of non-fiction short stories, poetry, motivation and quotes.
According to Radar Cirebon, Resa Setefani told that the selection was quite long. Starting from script submission, revision, and so on.
Resa Setefani said that the short story titled Broke Up Then Grow Up tells the story of someone who lost his direction in life. But he managed to get up and focus his own life journey. Then at one point he finally found a way to solve his problem.
The problem in the short story is a love problem. His girlfriend broke up with him unilaterally for no apparent reason. This traumatized him to start a new relationship. However, in the end he was able to find a way to focus on himself. He does many activities that enhance his abilities. In this way, he was finally able to make peace with himself.
Resa Setefani said that there is uniqueness in the story.
“And for its own uniqueness in this story, I poured a little comedy into the story, using a simple and interesting language style. This will make readers not feel bored.” she said.
This story is also a good choice for teenagers who are going through a breakup.
“Interesting things to read from the story I made, maybe my short story can provide motivation for anyone who is experiencing a breakup. ” said Resa.
Resa Setefani hopes that in the future she can produce other works. she also hopes to become a great writer like her idol, Tere Liye.
“Hopefully I can become a great writer like my favorite writer Tere Liye. And hopefully there will be no obstacles and hopefully it will be smooth,” she said.
